Jamie on shortlist for BP Portrait Award 2012 at the National Portrait Gallery

Jamie’s Triptych of Tony Lewis are among four works in contention for this year's BP Portrait Award at The National Portrait Gallery, London.
Other shortlisted artists are New York-based Aleah Chapin, Spanish artist Ignacio Estudillo and London-based Alan Coulson.
There were 2,187 entries from 74 different countries, and 55 of them will go on show at an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, central London, before going on tour to Edinburgh and Exeter.
Anybody over the age of 18 is able to enter the BP Portrait Award, and 2012 will see an artist aged between 18-30 awarded BP Young Artist of the Year for the fifth year running - an achievement three of 2012's shortlisted four are eligible for.
The winner, who will be announced on 19 June, receives £25,000 and a commission worth £4,000. Second place £8000, Third place £6000 and Young Artist Award £5000.
